The latest episode of USA Network’s Mr. Robot, “eps3.8_stage3.torrent” manages to raise a lot of questions that we’re hoping to get at least some answers to for the finale next week. Has Elliot really managed to “own” the Dark Army, or is this an elaborate rope a dope once again by White Rose? Is Phillip Price really out of plays? Who’s driving the van that picks up the now super crazy Angela? Is Dom and Darlene secretly working together to out Santiago as Dark Army’s rat inside the FBI? And for the love of God, what exactly is White Rose up to?! See you next week where we can find out together!
FX’s Fargo continues on it’s hot run with this week’s episode, “Aporia”. Jim and I break down the highlights of this installment, Emmitt tells Gloria a whole lot of truth, Wrench and Nikki get Biblical on Varga’s gang, Moe ruins everything, as per usual. and we’re honestly terrified anytime the camera starts to pull focus on David Thewlis’s mouth. Good god, this show ought to have driven stock in fluoride up 500%. We wrap things up with a little bit of dead pool for the finale, and a little bit of feedback from your fellow fans. See you next week!
Jim and A.Ron are now on the #F&%$EveryBodyButKim bandwagon, now that Jimmy has really fallen so morally and ethically far in AMC’s Better Call Saul, appropriately titled “Fall”. It’s shocking, disgusting, and horrific, and it’s hard to see how anyone we remotely care about makes it out of this season unscathed. Poor Kim. Poor Irene. We’ll have to see what devastation the Villigang has in store for us next week for the season finale…
Watch us record the podcast, including all the sound checks, flubs, and riveting research breaks that you’ve always wished you could see… Hey, at least you can hear the podcast before anyone else.
A.Ron and Cecily are sharply divided on their opinions for the series shotgun finale, episode 309, “The Blessed Dark”. A.Ron would have preferred a more open ended finale that didn’t try to make half-assed an attempt to bring the series to an epic and apocalyptic conclusion, while Cecily appreciates the creative jam the team was apparently other and is thankful that they made the best of the situation they had at hand. Regardless of our personal feelings, this is the end for Showtime’s Penny Dreadful, and we the television watching public are the poorer for it. What did you think? We’ll be back next week to mourn our loss and ponder that what ifs with you and all our fellow fans as we wrap up our coverage of the series. See you then.
Heading into the home stretch of Breaking Bad Season 3, we arrive at episode 309, “Kafkaesque”. Jesse’s job sucks, Hank can’t feel his legs, Walt admires Gus’s business move, and Skyler tells a whopper of a story.
Pi’ilani joins me once again to break down the happenings on Orange is the New Black episode 309, entitled “Where My Dreidel At?” In this podcast, we discuss Chang-feet-tea, Soso’s mishandling of a penitent Leanne, Leanne’s secret Amish heritage, as the cult of Norma undergoes some growing pains. Also, Pensatucky’s park trips to feed the ducks gets very weird, and very dark, Piper and Alex do annoying Piper and Alex things, and the jig is up on the Kosher food scam.
In this episode of House of Cards, number 309 entitled “Chapter Thirty Five”, Russians die, threatening the fragile Middle Eastern peace, Remy gets a ticket, Frank gives a fateful order, and Doug buries his face in Frank’s crotch. But in a totally not-Meechum kind of way. We think.
